3 Creek Ranch unfurls across the broad, mostly level floor of Jackson Hole, with Rees Jones delivering a routing tuned to maximize Teton panoramas and respect for water-rich high-country ranchland. Recent renovation work has swept away select bunkers, favoring short grass and expanded ground-game options on approaches and recoveries, making the course more playable but by no means a pushover. The result is a strategic championship test—long and demanding from the tips, friendlier but still demanding from mid and forward tees—where every green sits framed by wide horizons and subtle contouring. Greens complexes now offer more varied entry points and reward imagination, all underscored by the sense of big-mountain scale.
Rees Jones' original vision for wide corridors and enhanced playability was deepened with the 2024 bunker reduction, putting short-game skill and angle-savvy shot selection in sharper focus.
