1. Agreement
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of The Caddie Report (“TCR,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By accessing TCR or creating an account, you agree to these Terms and acknowledge our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
2. Eligibility and accounts
You must be legally able to enter into this agreement. You are responsible for accurate account information, safeguarding credentials, and activity through your account. Do not share credentials or impersonate another person. Tell us promptly about suspected unauthorized access.
3. What TCR provides
TCR provides golf-course research, CR Scores, rankings, editorial content, discovery tools, personalized recommendations, profiles, lists, Connections, and trip-planning features. Features may change, be tested with a subset of users, or be discontinued. We do not promise that every feature or course report will remain available.
4. Golf, access, and travel information
Course conditions, access rules, membership information, green fees, rankings, renovation details, tee times, lodging, restaurants, transportation, and other travel information can change. TCR content reflects research and editorial judgment, not a guarantee. Independently confirm important information with the course, property, operator, or relevant provider before relying on it.
TCR is not a golf-course operator, booking agent, travel agency, or professional safety adviser. A trip itinerary does not create a reservation. Third-party purchases, bookings, access arrangements, and services are between you and the applicable third party.
5. CR Scores, rankings, and recommendations
CR Scores, rankings, badges, Course DNA, match percentages, recommendations, and editorial conclusions are proprietary assessments produced from TCR’s methodology, available evidence, and judgment. They are opinions and decision-support tools, not objective guarantees or endorsements. Scores and rankings may change as data, methodology, or courses change.
6. Acceptable use
You may not misuse TCR, interfere with its operation, evade access controls, scrape or systematically extract content, submit unlawful or deceptive material, harass another person, send unsolicited invitations, attempt unauthorized access, introduce malicious code, or use TCR content or data to build a competing database, model, or service. Automated access requires our written permission.
7. Your content and photo license
You retain ownership of original content you submit, including photographs, course takes, memories, lists, comments, feedback, and trip contributions. You represent that you have the rights and permissions needed to submit that content and that it does not violate another person’s rights.
You grant TCR a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, adapt for formatting, display, and distribute your submitted content solely to operate, improve, promote, and present TCR and the sharing features you choose. This license ends when the content is deleted from active systems, except where it has been shared by others, incorporated into lawful backups, or must be retained for legal or operational reasons.
Do not upload professional, club-owned, licensed, or third-party photography unless you have authority to grant this license. We may remove content or attribution when rights are disputed.
8. Connections, invitations, and shared trips
Connections are intended for people who know one another or intentionally choose to connect. Do not use search or invitations to spam, solicit, or harass. When you invite someone, you confirm that you have a legitimate reason to use their contact information for that invitation.
Trip members may add content to a shared itinerary. Unless the product indicates otherwise, contributors may edit or delete only the items they created, while trip owners may administer the overall trip. Share links carefully; anyone with a public or read-only link may be able to view the information exposed by that link.
9. TCR content and intellectual property
TCR and its original text, design, software, methodology, scores, rankings, databases, graphics, trademarks, and compilations are owned by TCR or its licensors and protected by law. These Terms allow personal, non-commercial use of the service. They do not transfer ownership or permit republication, resale, bulk extraction, or model training without written permission.
10. Third-party services
TCR uses and links to third-party services. Their terms and privacy practices apply to their services. Use of Google Maps features is also subject to the Google Maps/Google Earth Additional Terms of Service and Google Privacy Policy. We are not responsible for third-party availability, content, products, or conduct.
11. Suspension and termination
You may stop using TCR at any time. We may restrict or terminate access when reasonably necessary to protect TCR or others, address violations, comply with law, or discontinue the service. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination—including ownership, disclaimers, limitations, and dispute terms—will survive.
12. Disclaimers
TCR is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, and uninterrupted availability. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain disclaimers, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
13. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, TCR and its owners, personnel, and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, lost profits, lost data, travel costs, missed reservations, loss of access, or course-related injury arising from use of TCR. Our aggregate liability for claims relating to the service will not exceed the greater of $100 or the amount you paid TCR during the twelve months before the claim. Applicable law may provide rights that cannot be limited.
14. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Ohio, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Before filing a formal claim, you and TCR agree to attempt in good faith to resolve the issue informally by written notice. Venue for disputes that proceed in court will lie in the state or federal courts serving Hamilton County, Ohio, unless applicable consumer law requires otherwise.
15. Changes
We may update these Terms as TCR evolves. We will post the revised Terms with a new effective date and provide additional notice for material changes. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance where permitted by law.
